so i'm thinking of doing more free commissions in august so that i can get some more work done before the baby gets here... i've had a lot of people asking when i'm going to start up the monthly free commissions again and i figured, what the heck, i finally have some time on my hands so i might as well do some artwork
if i do free commissions in august, what themes would be a good idea to use? i dont want to just pick some random theme and have everyone think its lame so no one asks for anything, i really really REALLY want to have a chance to do some more commissions before i hit fulltime motherhood, so please, if anyone has ANY IDEAS let me know

MODELS NEEDED
OK, so i'm starting on preliminary sketches for my graphic novel, but the problem is i don't want to have to use Google as my main source for reference images, so i need some help from my fellow artsy buddies :)
i want to get all the artwork done for the heroine's origin story, which isn't too long but long enough to get slightly complicated without reference images to keep me on track, so if you're interested in helping out, you can either leave a comment on this post or else send me a note. i'm going to also open this offer to friends on Facebook if need be so you could message me on there as well, i would just prefer to get more help from
just when you think it can't get any worse...
i was so very positive that this week would help me to turn over a new leaf, to start recovering from the loss of a beloved pet and return to normalcy. I'm not sure i have ever been more wrong in my life.
this afternoon we lost our beloved Reepicheep, our 9-10 year old pomeranian/chihuahua mix, who we have had since she was just a wee little puppy.
peeps would have turned 10, i believe if i remember correctly, this june.
her loss was a great tragedy in our home.
while she was originally Mother's dog, she bonded with Dad and i have never seen a dog more devoted before. she was a good dog and a loyal friend.
Peeps suffered from Diabetes,
horrible, horrible day...
i know the title seems terribly dramatic, but i could not be much more serious about how horrible today has been. i cannot post about it on facebook to protect certain people who may not know certain things to keep from breaking their hearts as well. but i will just say there are some things in life, that no matter how much time passes and no matter how much you try to forget, you will never forget what you witnessed... there are certain things that haunt you for your entire life and i hope that the people responsible for some of these things feel even an ounce of shame because they can't even take a little responsibility or even apologize...

i wanted to apologize for the noticable decline in quality in my work as well as my long absences. such is the life of the single parent.
life has been busy, my daughter recently came down with something that she only just got over, it was basically like the chicken pox, as well as two new teeth in three days, so i've had my hands quite full. i'm looking forward to starting new projects in the future, but right now the only thing that matters to me is taking care of my beautiful baby girl, Kyna.
so thank you for patience and not ripping me to shreds for the crappy work that has been posted, i do appreciate this :)

ME WANTS A COMISSION! And hmm...themes. You've done chibis so much....how about something along the lines of a comic or "conversation with your favorite star"? LOL
